History

-very Francophilic
-Danubian principality of Moldavia occupied by Russia during Russia's Wars > Turkish War of Succession (1841-4)
-with attempt to take over other one stopped by grand alliance
-Wallachia sees its Phanariote Greek-speaking elite overthrown by Rumanian boyars

-republican society attempts a few revolutions
